New Tennant and DW goodness!

The same grin that Tennant has on my icon is the same grin that's on my face right now. The trailer for "Recovery" was just put up on YouTube! More than likely, all my Tennant lovers have seen it. If not, check it out here. I will be praying to the internet gods that this will be posted online once it airs, or that it will show here in the U.S. somewhere. This looks so damn good. Sad, but good.

Second, Freema Agyeman's DW diaries are up too. I have to say, I'm not as worried as I was before about her. She seems so fangirlish and so excited about the part, it's hard not to like her for her enthusiasm. This is promising indeed. To check those out, go here. Still, I miss Rose (Billie Piper) like mad! It will be hard seeing someone new, but for now I'm not so doubtful about Freema. Yay for more Tennant goodness and his new blue suit! Eh, still like the original suit more. But the red chucks rock! *hee*

Okay, that's about it. Must read for my Lit Studies class. *snores* I hope everyone has a lovely Valentine's Day (or anti V-Day too). Tomorrow night I'll be with my mom at the Goo Goo Dolls concert! WOO!!! So take care my lovelies! Cheers!

Music to my ears

[mood| Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting giddy]

I went to bed last night assuming the weather guys were wrong yet again with their prediction of snow. Low and behold, I woke up this morning and all I could see was white outside. Then came the question: Should I stay or should I go? UTEP was open, again. Geez, they really want their money (or should I say my money). I didn't feel like risking my neck to drive on some very slick roads to my CIS class. I'm done with my first web page already, so I didn't really need my prof's assistance. I went back to bed, had lunch, and did some of my work for my English classes. I still need to catch up on Robinson Crusoe.

OMG! I got my Doctor Who soundtrack in the mail yesterday!! I freakin' love it! Murray Gold rocks! *bows and worships* Such gorgeous and haunting melodies. If any of my DW freaks don't have the soundtrack and would like to have it, let me know so I can upload it. I want to share the love! *hee* Cheers everyone!

Random thoughts

So...after all that build-up on the news about this "winter storm" hitting the area, all we got was rain. Rain, rain, and more rain. All the local school districts cancelled classes last night, but as for the universities, class was still in session today. Funny thing is I was so fidgety and anxious to go. For one, I hate building up absences and missing lectures or work. But my mom and my grandpa pinned me down and said "Relax! Just sleep in! They're saying not to go on the roads anyway." I tried going to sleep again, but I couldn't. I just wanted to go to school! So weird. But anyway, more than likely very few people showed up and I avoided the risk of getting stuck out on the other side of town if the weather got worse. So I surrendered, stayed in my jim jams all day and watched Doctor Who. Not a bad afternoon, watching David and Billie. *hehe*

I'm still hoping that the weather doesn't get worse overnight so we can still have my uncle's burial tomorrow. We all need closure badly. Anyway...here are my answers to the meme that cherie_morte completed. And, what the hell? I'll do this one too.

Catching up

[mood| Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting full]

I've been so anxious to start school again since I haven't had too much to do around the house lately. I probably should buckle down and get our Christmas tree back in storage, but I'm too lazy. *hehe* I'm also anxious to get auditions for orchestra over and done with. I just hate them, even though I've done it tons of times. It's so nerve-wracking. Plus, it's always the case for me when there's one easy piece and one difficult one. UGH! Anyway...today was nice because I got to have lunch with my friend, Gilbert. He drove from L.A. to visit since he's on break right now. It was really great to see him and catch up on some things. I bought The Illusionist yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to watch it. For sure, I'll see it tomorrow. The new House episode was awesome! Thank the lord stupid Tritter is gone for good! I hated that damn cop! Squee for House/Cameron hug! But now I have to wait 3 weeks for a new episode. *cries* There's only a few days left until season 2 of Doctor Who comes out on DVD!! I'm so excited! And I just found out on the site where I bought my sonic screwdriver and my poster that they now have the soundtrack to the show available! Must buy, must buy, must buy!

Finally, this just had to be posted.

If love be blind, love cannot hit the mark

[mood| Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting horny]

Hello all! I hope everyone is well. In terms of my deceased uncle, I'm really pissed right now at his widow. As a matter of fact, my whole family is. It's been two weeks and we still haven't made final preparations. It's such a mess, so I'm trying to find other things to do to put my mind off of all this drama. I had a Doctor moment a while ago. The news here is saying we're expecting snow for most of the day tomorrow. It did snow a bit a few days ago, but I didn't expect a second episode. Anyway, when I heard this I just kept saying "What? What? But...what? WHAT?!" Just like the Doctor said at the end of "Doomsday" when he saw Donna. My mom and I just cracked up. Oh, yeah. Finally saw "The Runaway Bride" on YouTube (I couldn't live without that site, I swear). Anyway, it was pretty good. I kind of wish Donna would have accepted his offer to go with him. It was so sad, seeing him mourning the loss of Rose. Just the right balance of comedy, action, and drama. It sucks that I'll have to wait until the summer to see the third season. I will try my hardest not to see the new episodes on YouTube, but we'll see how long I can hold out.

I HAVE A SONIC SCREWDRIVER AND A DOCTOR/ROSE POSTER!! My package came in the mail today and I'm loving them so much! You're never too old to play with toys. Now I really want to get the action figure of David as the Doctor. *hee*

I'm fangirling David Tennant at the moment, can't you tell? I won't get a chance to do so once school starts in a week, so I'm using my free time to indulge in as much Tennant goodness as I can. For starters, I downloaded two Shakespeare plays (Romeo & Juliet, Comedy of Errors) in which David reads some awesome parts. He's just perfect as Mercutio! I'm kicking myself for not finding this during my last semester since we read R & J in my Shakespeare class. Oh, well. At least I have it now. I also downloaded David reading a new Doctor Who novel. Guh...if that wasn't enough, I've started watching another series on YouTube that he starred in years ago called "Secret Smile". Shades of Barty Crouch, Jr. indeed. He's friggin' insane, creepy, and scary. I would not want the character he plays in that show as an ex-boyfriend or a boyfriend at all, for that matter.

Anyway, let's see if it really does snow over here. Cheers everyone and please leave me comments to let me know you're still alive. ;)

Thoughts on Doomsday

[mood| Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting creative]

So, finally the season finale of Doctor Who aired in the U.S. last night. Over all, I enjoyed it. The Dalek/Cyberman battles were okay, exciting at least. I think they kind of overdid it, though. Too much time was spent on Torchwood and so forth. Also, the subject of "void stuff" and all the parallel worlds conversations made my head hurt a bit. I guess one has to be a big sci-fi nerd to understand everything. For me, it's still new and I'm trying my best to get it. In reality, I think I probably could have skipped watching "Army of Ghosts" and just gone straight to "Doomsday".

The 'wall scene' and 'beach scene' had to be the best parts for me since I love all that mushy and dramatic fluff. It was just so cool when the Doctor and Rose leaned up against the wall together, feeling each other's presence even though they were worlds apart. My mom liked the fact that the Doctor pulled away first, then Rose. He let go, and Rose had to come to terms with the idea that she had to do the same. As for the beach, just a really bittersweet scene. It took me a while to realize some of the dialogue was from the first episode of the season, "The Christmas Invasion". That was a nice add. I teared up a bit when the Doctor vanished in the middle of his last words. I was like, "NO! Wait! What were you going to say?" Probably it was "I love you", but then who knows. Still, that was sad to see him crying all alone in the Tardis. But then my mom and I started laughing so hard when that bride showed up. I am so downloading the next Christmas episode! I wish I was living in the U.K. right now so I could watch it and buy tons of merchandise! *whine* Man, I really am going to miss Rose. Just when I got used to David Tennant as the new Doctor, I have to get used to his new companion next season! Too many changes in a short time! *grrr* I just hope he picks someone neat and tolerable.

Well, that's about it I think. Now I just have to save up $$ for the DVD set in January. I'm making icons from the episode right now, but I probably won't post until after Christmas. Until then, I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with their families. Merry Christmas everyone! Cheers!

One day at a time

[mood| Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting relieved]

First off, I want to say thanks to those who replied on the last post. You guys are wonderful and it meant a lot to me. Right now, it's just day by day. Trying to get back into my normal routine, which is tough since I've got lots of vacation time. So what I've been doing lately is just hanging out with my buds. I spent some time last night catching up with an old high school bud of mine, Gus. We had our complications in high school, but we've past all of that and have become good friends. But in a way, I'm trying not to get in over my head with him. Sure, we tease and joke around, almost in a flirty way. But somehow I don't know if he's really just playing around or if he's serious. To be honest, I can tell you right now he's not my type. I don't think I'm his type either. I hope he's just joking around. Well, I know I'm hanging out with him again later in the week so we'll see what happens next. A talk may be in order if these things keep up.

I spent some time with my mom today getting some Christmas shopping done. Man, that was fun! We haven't splurged in so long, so it was great! Now I'm just here at home, watching Rob Lowe in a TNT movie. Damn, that man just gets more beautiful as he gets older. *hee* Squee for Doctor Who season finale this Friday!!! I've been avoiding all of the spoilers online as much as I can. From the previews, it looks like I'm going to be sobbing near the end. I can't wait! Oh, and thank goodness I got a B in my Humanities 3302 class. I was so scared I wasn't going to pass. All A's in my English classes, thank you! *pats back* Well, that's about all for now. I know this may sound greedy, but for those of you who haven't checked out my Christmas stocking, please do so here. Cheers. ;)

P.S. Comments are love!
